The ENCORE 2024 – Western Province session, organized by the Institute of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), was successfully held on July 3, 2024, at the Wimalasurendra Auditorium, IESL.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Sahan Ratnayake, Vice Chairman of the IESL JIY Sub Committee, followed by an inspiring address from Eng. Lasantha Prasad, Chairman of IESL JIY. Then, A video presentation introduced the competition’s objectives and history.
The keynote speaker, Eng. Tharindu Suraj Chathuranga, an award-winning UAV engineer and CEO of SRQ Robotics, delivered an insightful speech, sharing his journey and innovations in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles and robotics. The session also featured an interactive activity to stimulate creativity and collaboration among the participants.
The Marketing and PR Pillar Head, Mr. Thisal Somarathne provided a detailed presentation about various universities and their programs, guiding students towards their future engineering dreams.
The ENCORE 2024 – Western Province session was a resounding success. It concluded leaving all participants inspired and motivated.
